Dale A Smith
Dr. Dale Smith is a Professor in the Department of Pathobiology at the Ontario Veterinary College, University of Guelph which is located in Guelph, Ontario. After completing her veterinary degree she spent three years in a combined clinical medicine and pathology program shared between the Toronto Zoo and the University of Guelph. At the OVC, Dr. Smith teaches the clinical medicine of avian and exotic species to veterinary students and the pathology of these species to graduate students, and manages the graduate program with the Toronto Zoo. She is also the honorary pathologist for the Toronto Zoo and the Assistant Director of the Canadian Wildlife Health Cooperative, Ontario-Nunavut Region. Dr. Smith has also been involved with a number of wildlife related projects in Africa, particularly in Uganda, Rwanda, and Zimbabwe.
